The inception of DANYO INTERNATIONAL (PVT) LTD resulted from the merger of two companies initiated by two brothers in 1985. In that pivotal year, the siblings launched separate enterprises aimed at serving the Marine Engineering and General Engineering sectors, with a primary focus on the fisheries industry spanning the coastal line from Negombo to Dondra in Sri Lanka.
The late Mr. Gunasena Danthanarayana, also known as Tudor Danthanarayana, established U.S. Engineering Works, while his younger brother, Rathnasiri Danthanarayana, founded Nuradha Engineering Works. These companies specialized in distinct workmanship within the Marine Engineering sector.
Following in the footsteps of their fathers, the second generation of the late Mr. Gunasena and Mr. Rathnasiri took the initiative to merge U.S. Engineering Works and Nuradha Engineering Works, giving rise to DANYO INTERNATIONAL (PVT) LTD. This strategic amalgamation aimed to uphold the trust, quality, and experience garnered by both institutions over the years, enabling the delivery of high-quality products and services suitable for both local and foreign markets.
